Cecilia Canales

Cecilia M. Canales, age 80 of Wharton and formerly of El Campo went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2017 surrounded by her family. She was born September 4, 1937 in Danevang to the late Frank and Crisanta Guzman Moreno. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt and friento many who knew her and loved her. She was a seamstress at I-C Mfg for 40 years.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Canales; sons, Herman Canales and Maria, Ricky Joe Canales and Viola, David Canales and Berta, Daniel Canales, Elloyd Canales and Graciela, Ephraim Canales, Adrian Canales and Maricela; daughter, Theresa Bujnoch and Joe; brothers, Ismael, Francisco, Edward, Hilirio and Roger Moreno; sisters, Crisanta Saenz, Isabel Longoria, Alice Moreno; 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter Anna Marie Canales.

Visitation will begin at 2 pm Tuesday at Wheeler Funeral Home with the rosary beginning at 7 pm. Funeral mass will be 10 am Wednesday at St. Robert's Catholic Church Burial will follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
