Connie Vargas

Connie Vargas passed away on July 28, 2020 at the age of 85. She was born October 28, 1934 in Inez, Tx to the late Manuel and Antonio Perez Basquez.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She was a very loving person. Connie was a member of St. Phillip's Catholic Church. She was a home health caregiver.

She is survived by 5 sons, Mario Escamilla and wife Lupe, Gilbert Escamilla and wife JoAnn, Robert Escamilla, Manuel Escamilla, Mark Vargas all of El Campo; daughters Sandra Carrion and husband Fred, Debra Escamilla all of El Campo; daughter-in-law, Lori Escamilla of Edinburg; brother, Manuel Basquez, Jr. of Bay City; 22 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents,husband, Gregorio Vargas, Sr; son, Arnold Louis Escamilla; daughter, Carol Contreras; 4 sisters, Alice, Adelina and Anita, and Olivia Basquez; grandson, Christopher Escamilla; great great granddaughter, Lilyanna Flores.

At the request of the family, memorials may be made to St. Phillip's Catholic Church, in memory of Connie

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
