Frankie Faniel

Frankie Faniel, 81, of El Campo, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born on April 24, 1943, in Columbus, Texas to Victor Simmons, Sr, and Ethel Mae (Carter) Simmons.

Frankie was employed as a Certified Nurses Aid with Garden Villa Nursing Home and worked in the kitchen at the Hilge Nursing Home.

She enjoyed dancing and listening to the Blues, dabbling in politics, was a dedicated church member and love being with and cooking for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Samuel.

She is survived by her daughters; Sandra Robinson (Samuel), Donna Bratton (Jerry), Brenda Faniel, Belinda Frazier (Kenneth), Robbie Green (Christopher). Sons; Ronnie Faniel, Dennis Faniel, and Norris Faniel (Vanessa). Sisters; Maggie Mae Arceneaux, Delores Gibson (Dennis) and Erma Jones, and a brother, Tommie Simmons. 15 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter.

Visitation will be held from 10 AM until 11 AM, Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 810 Palacious Street, El Campo, Texas, with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 11 AM, with Rev. Michael Morre, officiating.

Burial will follow in the El Campo Community Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dynamic Richardson, Castrong Richardson, Reggie Riggins, Jr. Christian Green, Tevin Clark, and Anthony Jone, Jr. Alternate pallbearer will be Lance Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Robinson, Jr., Jerry Bratton, Christopher Green, Kenneth Frazer, Vanessa Faniel and Walter Washington
