John Joe “Joey” Manciaz, age 54, passed away May 20, 2024, in Houston. He was born October 25, 1969, in El Campo to the late Robert Joe and Celia Gutierrez Manciaz.
He is survived by daughters, Brittney Manciaz, Courtney Manciaz, Crystal Manciaz, Senora Villarreal, Celia Manciaz; son, John Joe Manciaz; brothers, Ronny Joe Manciaz, Sr., Albert Perez, Jr.; sisters, Delores Santizo, Delia Manciaz; 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation begins at 5 pm on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Wheeler Funeral Home with Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 am, Friday, May 31, 2024, at St. Robert’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at Holy Cross Memorial Park.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Almaguer, Jonathan Almaguer, Ezequiel Almaguer, Jr., Albert Perez, Billy Ortiz, Mark Alameda. The honorary pallbearer will be Ronny Joe Manciaz.
