Juan Soto Garcia

Juan Soto Garcia, 91, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at his residence, in Katy, Texas, surrounded by his family. Juan was born in Huetamo, Michoacan, Mexico on April 28, 1932 to Pascual Soto and Rosa Garcia. He work as a farmer in Mexico, and welder for a manufacturing company in Texas. His passion was watching Mexico playing soccer on TV.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Juan is survived by his wife; Faustina Garcia Mendoza. Daughters; Rosa Garcia (Flavio), Norma Jimenez (Melecio), Maria Cruz Botto (Giorgio), Juana Orozco (Abilmael), Rubi Garcia (Uber), and Raquel Garcia. Sons; Lorenzo Garcia (Ester) and Neftali Garcia (Vicki). Two half-sisters and four half-brothers, 24 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 3 – 5 PM on Sunday, December 31, 2023 at the Wheeler Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 AM, Monday, January 1, 2024, at the El Campo Mennonite Church, El Campo, Texas with Mr. Carlos Koehn, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories in El Campo. Pallbearers will be Oscar Santibanez, Juan Carlos Santibanez, Hector Garcia, Bryan Garcia, Kevin Garcia, and William Garcia.
