Lucielle Winzenried

Lucielle Winzenried Gavin Ash, age 96, of El Campo passed away Jan. 7, 2018 in El Campo. She was born Sept. 4, 1921 in Garwood to Warren Winzenried Sr. and Minnie Marie Wolter Winzenried. She was a life member of the Ladies Auxillary of VFW and American Legion. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Gavin Kocian of El Campo; grandchildren, Ricky Hyde of Freeport, Clinton Hyde of El Campo, Denise Toomes of El Campo; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; brother, Daniel Winzenried and wife Pauline of Alvin; sister, Carolyn Ashworth of Webster.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard Gavin and Robert Ash; brothers, Johnny Winzenried, Donald Winzenried, Warren Winzenried, Jr.; sisters, Charlotte Moore and Beaula Herring.

Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10 at Wheeler Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Rick DuBroc officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Wheeler Funeral Home, El Campo.
