Melvin Guardado

Our beloved Melvin Guardado went to be with the Lord on October 19, 2021. He was born March 20, 1974 in El Salvador to Marcelino Rosas Chavez and Clotilde Hernandez. He was owner operator of Guardado Trucking.

Melvin is survived by his wife Brenda Escamilla; mother, Clotilde Hernandez; children, April Lorta and husband Sotero, Sofia Guardado, Melviney Guardado, Kassie Canales and husband Frank; Tiffany Vallejo and husband Alex, Mayvin Salgado and husband Bartello, Destiney Vargas and Layla Capistran all of El Campo; brother, Edwin Guardado. His grandchildren which he loved unconditionally are Brian, Adelina, Adevina, Quinn, Alex, Rex, Bella, Ariella, Mayson, Matthew and Mia. He was preceded in death by his father Marcelino Rosas Chavez and son Melvin Guardado, Jr.

Visitation begins at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Wheeler Funeral Home with rosary being recited at 6 pm. Funeral mass will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday at St. Robert’s Catholic Church with burial to follow at La Colonia Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Brian Torres, Sotero Lorta, Edwin Guardado, Jr., Angel Alejo, Victor Cruz, Edwin Martinez and Tito Ibarra.
