Pete Munoz

Pete Cardenas Munoz, 86, of Louise, TX, passed away on September 13, 2024 peacefully at home with family.

He was born on April 8, 1938 in Simonton, Texas. He is survived by his wife Yolanda Munoz for over 50 years, his sister Janie Lopez of Eagle Lake and sons Pete Munoz, Jr. and wife Brenda of Katy, Jesse Munoz and wife Francis of Austin, Danny Munoz and girl friend Belinda of El Campo, Michael Munoz and wife Rosa of Pecos, Sebastian Munoz and wife Misty of Eagle Lake, Marco Munoz and wife Kristi of Louise; daughters, Sulema Martinez and husband Daniel of Wharton, Irma Torres and husband Manual of Bay City and Rebecca Yackel and husband Ricky of Louise. Pete is also survived by 28 Grandchildren, 41 Great Grandchildren and 21 Great Great Grandchildren.

Pete is preceded in death by his father, Pedro Munoz; mother, Matilda Munoz; brother, Joe Garcia; sisters, Adelina Cortez, Velia Sosa, Celia Sosa and Sara Sosa; daughter, Alma Munoz Torres; son, Thomas Munoz and several other beloved and missed family.

Visitation will be Wednesday September 18th at Wheeler Funeral Home in El Campo from 4 till 6 pm with rosary to follow.

Funeral Mass begins at 10 am Thursday September 19th at St. Procopius Catholic Church in Louise with burial to follow at St. Procopius Cemetery also in Louise.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers and in memory of Pete can be made to Yolanda Munoz to help defray funeral costs.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cole Yackel, Mateo Munoz, Nicolas Munoz, Thomas Munoz, Kristian Munoz and Tristan Munoz. Honorary pallbearers will be Jesse Munoz, Jr., Danny Martinez Jr., Aaron Munoz, Jacob Munoz, Jonathan Munoz, Christopher Munoz and Jeremy Munoz.
