Teddy Joe Ash, 55, of El Campo, was given the gift of life on Feb. 17, 1962 in Albany, Texas. God called him home on July 25, 2017 as he was surrounded by the love of his family.
He married the love of his life, his Baby Cakes, and they were blessed with three wonderful children and a niece that soon became one of their own ... lil papoose. Their family was completed when their children made them grandparents. Teddy was beyond excited to be a PaPa so he began building his grandson's baby bed. There was nothing that meant more to Teddy than spending time with his family, teaching them the word of God and showing them what unconditional love was.
Teddy also loved being outdoors whether it was fishing, being on the tractor or doing wood work. Teddy joined JM Eagle where he was production manager and before long it wasn't just a job, they became family. He loved the challenges there as well as his co-workers.
Teddy taught his children and so many the word of God, values, hard work ethics, unconditional love, never taking loved ones for granted and everything on what life was all about. Teddy was a man of few words, but the impact he had on people's lives will remain with them for a lifetime.
Teddy is survived by his wife, Sandy of El Campo; daughters, Kristin Triplet and husband Jacob of El Campo and Savannah Yackel and husband Colby of El Campo; son, Erik Ash of El Campo; mother, Nell Stovall of Eagle Lake; sisters, Cathy Ward and husband Mike of Eagle Lake and Lori Loesch and husband Donald of Rock Island; grandchildren, Zach and Zane Yackel and Teddy Joe Ash, all of El Campo.
He preceded in death by his father, Wilburn Ash of DeLeon.
Visitation will be 4 - 6 p.m. Sunday, July 30 with a Celebration of Life following at 6 p.m. at Wheeler Funeral Home. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 31, at Faith Lutheran Church in El Campo with Pastor Lee Kuhns presiding.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Triplet, Colby Yackel, Greg Yackel, Greg Blair, Dillon Sparks and James Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are JM Eagle co-workers.
Donations may be made to Faith Lutheran or a medical at NewFirst National Bank in El Campo.Teddy Ash
